THE BUILDING

Macclesfield Spiritualist Church was established in 1889. The church is in Cumberland Street, behind the Jordangate car park. The location of the church can be seen on this map.

 

THE MEMORIALS

The Spiritualist Church memorial is a wooden frame containing photos of five men who died in WWI, with their names together with their places and dates of death. A second memorial of an engraved marble tablet is dedicated to one of these five, Arthur Hurst, who was the Spiritualists’ Lyceum Secretary.
