Choices Then and Now

A unique exhibition depicting choices in WWI and choices today.

Macclesfield Library Monday 5th – Saturday 10th November 2018

Upstairs in the library gallery during library opening hours.

To coincide with the Armistice of World War One, this exhibition focuses on Macclesfield men and women whose conscience would not allow them to take up arms or serve in the military. Through posters, photographs, original testimonies and first-hand accounts the exhibition is a stark reminder of the impact of World War I. One hundred years on, the theme of the exhibition is as true today for the choices the next generation will face.

Organised by East Cheshire Quakers as part of ‘Building the Peace’ in Macclesfield.
