This photo is thought to have been taken at the Barracks in Crompton Road, Macclesfield, during WW1.
It features Samuel Bamford, born in Macclesfield in 1888, 5th from right in the 3rd row back, and his son Laurence Bamford standing to the left of the gentleman wearing a large bowler hat in the same row.
Laurence Bamford was born in 1910, and looks as if he could be 7 or 8 years old or more, so the photo would probably have been taken towards the end of the war or even post-WW1.
Can you identify any of the people, or the date?
