Son of Samuel and Priscilla Kniveton, of 35 Waterside, Macclesfield.

COMMEMORATION

Rifleman William Kniveton has no known grave and is commemorated on panel ref. 4 on the Cambrai Memorial, France. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission holds casualty details for Rifleman William Kniveton, and he is listed on the Imperial War Museum’s Lives of the First World War website.

In Macclesfield, Rifleman William Kniveton is commemorated on the Park Green and Town Hall war memorials.
