Killed in action 18th August 1917 in Belgium, aged 22



Son of George and the late Emma Dent.

Known as Thomas.

Private Thomas Dent has no known grave and is commemorated on Panel Ref. 77 to 79 and 163A of the Tyne Cot Memorial in Belgium. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission holds casualty details for Private Thomas Dent, and he is listed on the Imperial War Museum’s Lives of the First World War website.

Private Thomas Dent is commemorated in Macclesfield on the Ancient Order of Foresters Roll of Honour.
