COMMEMORATION

Private Arthur Wood is buried in Grave Ref. II. C. 12. of the Huts Cemetery in Belgium. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission holds casualty details for Private Arthur Wood, and he is listed on the Imperial War Museum’s Lives of the First World War website.

In Macclesfield, Private Arthur Wood is commemorated on the Park Green, Town HallSt Michael’s ChurchHurdsfield Sunday School and Rainow war memorials, and on Hurdsfield Sunday School Roll of Honour.
