EARLY LIFE

Husband of Eva Phillis Corbishley, of 20 Newhall St, Macclesfield. Formerly served with 8th Battalion Devonshire Regiment.

COMMEMORATION

2nd Lt Ronald Corbishley is buried in Grave Ref. North side of Church. Grave No. 1. in Wielsbeke Communal Cemetery, Belgium. His wife asked for the words A BEAUTIFUL LIFE. A NOBLE SACRIFICE to be added to his headstone.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission holds casualty details for 2nd Lt Ronald Corbishley, and he is listed on the Imperial War Museum’s Lives of the First World War website.

In Macclesfield, 2nd Lt Ronald Corbishley is commemorated on the the Park GreenTown HallSt Michael’s Church, Christ Church School and Macclesfield Grammar School war memorials.
