Son of Hannah Bayley, of 80, Park Rd., Burslem, Staffs, and the late Thomas Bayley.

Gunner Harry Bayley is buried in Grave Ref. I. L. 11. of the Bailleul Road East Cemetery in France. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission holds casualty details for Gunner Harry Bayley, and he is listed on the Imperial War Museum’s Lives of the First World War website.

In Macclesfield, Gunner Harry Bayley is commemorated on the Park GreenTown Hall and St Michael’s Church war memorials.

  1. Dear Sir/Madam…. excuse me for being picky, but with reference to Gunner Harry Bayley, buried in Bailleul Road East cemetery, I believe this cemetery is in France, not Belgium as stated.
