EARLY LIFE

Son of Frederick and P Mary Gee, of 9, Lowe St., Macclesfield; husband of Hannah Gee, of 31, Roe St., Macclesfield, Cheshire. Known as Frederick Augustus Gee.

COMMEMORATION

Private Frederick Gee has no known grave and is commemorated on panel ref. Bay 2 and 3 of the Arras Memorial, France. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission holds casualty details for Private Frederick Gee, and he is listed on the Imperial War Museum’s Lives of the First World War website.

In Macclesfield, Private Frederick Gee is commemorated on the Park Green, Town Hall and St Michael’s Church war memorials.
