Son of David H. and Elizabeth Lomas, of Macclesfield, Cheshire, England.

COMMEMORATION

Private Hector Lomas is buried in grave ref. III. A. 20. of the Barlin Communal Cemetery Extension, France. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission holds casualty details for Private Hector Lomas, and he is listed on the Imperial War Museum’s Lives of the First World War website.

In Macclesfield, Private Hector Lomas is commemorated on the Park Green, Town Hall and St Michael’s Church war memorials, and on St Johns Church roll of honour.
