Son of Mrs. Annie Ashby Colclough, of 11, Chester Rd., Macclesfield.

COMMEMORATION

Private Frank Ashby has no known grave and is commemorated on panel ref. Bay 2 and 3 of the Arras Memorial, France. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission holds casualty details for Private Frank Ashby, and he is listed on the Imperial War Museum’s Lives of the First World War website.

In Macclesfield, Private Frank Ashby is commemorated on the Park Green and Town Hall war memorials.
