Son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Moseley, of 14, Albion Rd., Fallowfield, Manchester (previously 8 Riseley St, Macclesfield). Born at Macclesfield.

COMMEMORATION

Private Horace Moseley is buried in Grave Ref. Enclosure No.4 I. I. 38. of Bedford House Cemetery, Belgium. His mother asked for a cross and the words TO LIVE IN HEARTS THAT LOVE HIM IS NOT TO DIE to be added to his headstone.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission holds casualty details for Private Horace Moseley.

In Macclesfield, Private Horace Moseley is commemorated on the Park Green, Town HallSt Michael’s Church, All Saints Church, Christ Church School and King’s School war memorials.

Elsewhere, he is commemorated on the Civil Service Rifles war memorial at Somerset House, The Strand, London.
