COMMEMORATION

Private Alfred Redfern has no known grave and he is named on Pier and Face 4 A of the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission holds casualty details for Private Alfred Redfern.

In Macclesfield, Private Alfred Redfern is commemorated on the King’s School war memorial. Elsewhere, he is commemorated on the Bramhall (Wesleyan Church), Bramhall (St Michael’s Church) and Bramhall (Bramhall Lane) war memorials.
