Son of William Whittaker and Ellen Jane Higgins, of Ashdeane, Bramhall, Cheshire.

COMMEMORATION

 

Private Harold Higgins has no known grave and is commemorated on the Addenda Panel of the Helles Memorial, Turkey. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission holds casualty details for Private Harold Higgins, and he is listed on the Imperial War Museum’s Lives of the First World War website.

Locally, Private Harold Higgins is commemorated on the Macclesfield King’s School, Bramhall (Bramhall Lane), Bramhall Wesleyan Church, Bramhall St Michael’s Church and Manchester University war memorials.
