Siddington Ladies War Effort – Sutton Rifle Club invites all to learn to shoot – Scale of Relief Pay Fixed – Veterans join the Colours

Range opened to all over the age of 18 who wish to learn how to shoot. National Reserves are specially invited.

THE LOCAL RELIEF FUND: THE SCALE OF RELIEF PAY FIXED
The maximum amount of relief paid [i.e. support for those in financial difficulty as a result of the war] was fixed at 3s each for adults plus 9d per child.

[3s in 1914 is worth about £9 today.]
